Conference Theme: "Composing Our Future: Harmonizing Well-being, Ethics, and Responsibility in Communication"

In the digital age, communication is pervasive, necessitating a critical examination of its societal impact. i-COME'24 addresses the critical challenge of fostering responsible communication practices across all communication and communication-related fields, particularly in the context of digital technologies, with a specific focus on artificial intelligence (AI). The conference will delve into the multifaceted impact of these technologies on these fields, examining their influence on content creation, source credibility, and influencer bias. Additionally, it will explore the broader impacts on culture, social contexts, and organizations, both locally and globally. Through in-depth discussions on these crucial aspects, i-COME'24 aims to chart a transformative path for the future of communication, prioritizing well-being, ethics, and social responsibility as the core principles guiding communication practices.

Call to Action i-COME'24 provides a valuable platform for:

ANNOUNCEMENT: BEST PAPER AWARD

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the Best Paper Award at the 9th International Conference on Communication and Media (i-COME’24). This prestigious award will be given to FOUR (4) outstanding papers that meet the highest standards of academic excellence and originality. Each winner of the Best Paper Award will receive a prize of USD100.

The publication committee reviewed all the papers submitted to i-COME’24 and shortlisted those that qualified as potential Best Papers.

The shortlisted papers were evaluated based on the following THREE (3) criteria:

1. Low Similarity Index (below 24%): Papers must demonstrate a high level of originality and avoid plagiarism, as assessed by Turnitin.

2. Low AI Detection Percentage (below 20%): Papers should not heavily rely on AI-generated content, as detected by Turnitin.

3. Full Paper and Format Compliance: Submitted papers must be complete and follow the conference's formatting guidelines.

Following this, the shortlisted papers were assigned to reviewers for a blind review. The final selection for the Best Paper Award was based on two additional criteria:

- High Average Marks: Papers must receive a strong average score from two reviewers.

- Absence of Marks Discrepancies: While we focused on the average scores, we also ensured there were no significant discrepancies between the marks given by the two reviewers.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS STANDARD

At our conference, we uphold the highest standards of academic rigor and integrity through a meticulous peer review process. Each submission undergoes a double-blind review, ensuring anonymity and impartiality for both authors and reviewers.

Double-Blind Review Process

Submission: Authors submit their papers without any identifying information. This includes removing names, affiliations, and any self-referencing details that could reveal the author's identity.

Reviewer Assignment: Each paper is assigned to two expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise to provide insightful and constructive feedback.

Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess submissions based on originality, significance, methodological rigor, and clarity of presentation. They provide detailed comments and recommendations to help authors improve their work.

Anonymity: Throughout the review process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. This double-blind setup ensures that reviews are free from bias, based solely on the content and quality of the submission.

Decision Making: Based on the reviewers' feedback, the conference committee makes decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the papers. Authors receive comprehensive feedback to guide any necessary revisions.

Revision and Final Decision: Authors may be asked to revise their papers in response to reviewers' comments. Revised submissions are re-evaluated, and final decisions are made regarding their inclusion in the conference publication.

Our double-blind peer review process is designed to maintain the highest standards of fairness and excellence, fostering a scholarly environment where innovative ideas and research can thrive.
