NEW STRUCTURE (122 Credit Hours) > Starting A231 2021/2022
Bachelor of Science (Hons.)(Multimedia) is an academic programme under the Multimedia Technology Department in SMMTC. It requires students to take 122 credit hours to graduate.
The aim of the programme (BSc. (Hons.)(Multimedia)) is to produce graduates with competitive knowledge, principles and skills in term of theoretical and practical foundation for designing, implementing and managing multimedia applications and also recognising the impact of multimedia on individuals, organisation and society.
1. Multimedia practitioners/professionals with multimedia expertise who are competent in applying acquired knowledge and practical skills in a challenging and dynamic design environment; locally and globally.
2. Multimedia practitioners/professionals who competently collaborate multimedia knowledge with critical and analytical thinking and other relevant skills to solve problems and communicate effectively in diverse and complex situations.
3. Multimedia practitioners/professionals who possess positive values, attitudes, good leadership and teamwork qualities to engage professionally, ethically and with a high sense of business and social responsibility in the global network.
4. Multimedia practitioners/professionals who are competent in utilizing information, media and technology applications to design and develop solutions for organisational and entrepreneurial success while professionally engaging in lifelong learning for career growth.

Students must take the English Core Courses according the MUET/IELTS/TOEFL results obtained during the admission application.

The aim of the programme (BSc. - To build graduates’ strong knowledge, principles and skills in multimedia.
- To develop graduates’ analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in multimedia.
- To enable graduates to understand the concept of analysing, designing, implementing and managing multimedia technology solutions and resources, and recognize the impact of multimedia technology on individuals, organisation and society.
- To develop graduates’ skills that will help them to integrate various technology solutions.
- To enable graduates to understand broad business and real world perspectives of multimedia.
- To build graduates’ effective communication skills and ethical responsibilities.
